Still in the potato business !
The Mc Mahon are descendants of a rare Irish family established in lower Canada more exacly in St-Célestin near Trois-Rivieres Québec.
Albert Mc Mahon buys a tract of land in St-Célestin. In addition to farming the land, he also raises livestock and deals in general transport.
Albert Mc Mahon hires his neighbors to cultivate potatoes and in turn buys the potatoes and sells them to markets in Trois-Rivieres and Montréal.
Albert's son André takes over the family business. Along with the inheritance he receives a truck and also gains his father's untarnished reputation of honesty. He relentlessly continues to develop his commerce of general transport livestock and the potato business with the precious help of his wife Simone Boisclair.
André sells his transport company to Thetford Transport but keeps the potato business .
André's two sons Serge and Alain join their father's business and found the Company Mc Mahon and Sons.
André receives '' The Meritas Parmentier '' an award given by the Québec Potato Growers Federation from the hands of Mrs Françoise Gauthier, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
Serge joins the company full time filling his father's position. André, however, remains in an advisery position in order to guide his son Serge in his new role as head of the company.
